Sketchbook Project Part 9

I'm not really a good teacher, but somehow Jeremy Johnson convinced me to co-host some drawing classes for kids for the Noel Community Art Program. I might be exaggerating the experience in the above comic slightly. The classes were very successful (even though we only had three or four students).

Tune into tomorrow and I'll post the Sketchbook in its entirety.

Sketchbook Project Part 8

It was surprisingly fun doing the live demonstration at the library. I'm usually nervous in front of an audience, but I was surprisingly calm during the whole thing. The library's graphic novel section is pretty dope. I think it's awesome that the library has a comic book section. And yes. I really do love the Reading Rainbow song.

Sketchbook Project Part 7

I love my new office desk and I LOOOOVE my Cintiq. I actually drew this sketchbook on my Cintiq. Also, I'm proud of my organized comic collection. I was able to fit my whole collection of 5,000 plus comics into three legal-sized filing cabinets. The drawers on legal size cabinets are a little wider than regular filing cabinets. I was able to fit two rows of comics in each drawer. Now, my collection is easy to access and the cabinets look better than my old ugly cardboard comic boxes. And yes. I have a Spider-Man jack-in-the-box. I also have a Captain America one.

Sketchbook Project Part 6

You can see photos of my craft projects here on my blog. Check out my Pin Goblin HERE and my Jonasbot 3000 HERE. Also, rearranging my bedroom and office was a huge deal. I have lots of room in my office/studio now which has increased my artistic productivity. It's amazing how rearranging your home can make it feel brand new.

Sketchbook Project Part 5

Not to brag, but I do have an awesome Christmas tree. I have hundreds of keepsake ornaments: all cartoon characters (there's a few pop culture ones). My annual Christmas parties are a lot of fun. I love hosting parties and it's fun hanging out with all my friends under one roof. Catchphrase is a fun party game. Seriously. Get it. Also, I got some amazing presents this year: one of the best present hauls in a LONG time. The Charlie Brown figure set was one of my favorites.
