Cartoonists Assemble!
Drawing can be such an isolated experience. The artist usually shuts him or herself away from the world in order to imagine a funny idea or picture. However, this weekend (Jan. 16) I met with 3 other Shreveport cartoonists in an attempt to revive the defunct Cartooning Club. It was so much fun gathering, socializing and drawing together. This is a sample of a "jam comic" that we did. Each person drew one panel of the comic strip and passed it to the next person. Then, that person drew the next panel, etc. etc. This was the first time I ever did this and it was a great experience. I can't wait for the next meeting. (I drew panel 4.)
