Modern Slacker

Here's a magazine illustration that I did for SB Magazine a few years ago. This drawing accompanied an editorial column about bad customer service. I drew from personal experience for this illustration. During my college years, I worked a few customer service jobs...and HATED it. It tried my best, but I was a horrible clerk. Guess I'll stick to illustration.

This was hand-drawn, pencil and ink illustration and colored using Illustrator by artist Matt Beckham.

Roofus at the Library

On Feb. 19, 2011, I hosted a Roofus U book signing at the N. Shreve Memorial library branch in Shreveport, LA. The event was very successful. I sold some books, met some nice people, signed my name and drew some sketches. This was the first time I ever did anything like this. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to doing it again. Thanks to librarian Jenifer Blanco French for this great opportunity.

Also, the library is celebrating comic books and graphic novels during the month of February. They are displaying my artwork throughout the entire month. Pretty cool.

Also, thanks to librarian Jennie Calhoun. Thanks to her efforts, Roofus U is now cataloged into the Shreve Memorial AND Caddo Library branches. Yep. Roofus U is OFFICIALLY a library book.

4 After 5 Exhibit: A Look Back in Pictures Part 5

Here's the final 4 After 5 photo post. I'm just gonna let the photos speak for themselves. My final thoughts on the show: it was one of my proudest moments as an artist. Thanks to friends and family who supported us. I look forward to doing it again.

Special thanks to Leah Rea for being the official 4 After 5 photographer. Check out her site at www.leahrea.com.

My nephew, Harley. This is my favorite pic.
