Great question. I honestly don't remember. I probably did 2 panels so I could draw bigger. Plus, it made the comics easier to read. However, I do remember this:
One of my uncles loved reading my comics and asked me to make him a book of cartoons. I started filling up a five-subject notebook full of comics. That notebook became Slick Funnies Volume One. I enjoyed drawing Slick Funnies so much I kept doing it. I never did send my Uncle that book. Maybe I'll send him a copy of Smooth Move, Slick.
I think it's interesting that you worked in a 2 panel format. Where did that idea come from?
