Maggie Moo's Ice Cream and Flu Shots

This illustration was fun to draw. The columnist wrote about the variety of businesses that were offering flu shots. He thought it was weird that you could go to Target and buy some groceries and then get an inoculation. He said he hoped that the ice cream shop, Magggie Moo's, adopted this policy in the future. It would be nice to get a shot while eating your favorite ice cream. I would have to agree. I experimented with my drawing style and drew more loosely than I usually draw. I also tried a different medium (charcoal pencil on sketchbook paper). I really like the Maggie Moo's mascot wearing the nurse outfit.

  2. I dig this style and technique too. I want to experiment more like this in the future.

  3. From your sketches it looks like things got progressively looser as you worked. It's funny how with certain types of illustrations, you can't get to where you're going until you figure out what *not* to draw. I would say keep heading in that direction and see just how loose you can get.
