This is the final design of the Blankman billboard. I painted this using acrylic on illustration board. In college, I painted quite a few illustrations and I loved the experience. Before college, I had never picked up a brush. For the first time in my life, I was pushing my creative boundaries. It was exciting times.
That being said, this isn't my best work. I've included the final painted version (top) and the color sketch version. Confidentially, I like the sketch better. Take that, college me.
Man, I don't know if it's been done already but this strikes me as the kind of concept that would make for an awesome comic
ReplyDeleteI know that Ben 10 is a very similar concept (except he uses a watch and changes into monsters). I do think it's a cool concept. The name Blankman fits so well, but people associate it with that damn Damon Wayans movie.
